Hiatus

I know I haven't really kept up with entries a lot this month, but a lot is going on, plus I don't have many topics to chat about at the moment.  Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that starting Monday the 15th this blog will be on approximately a 3 week hiatus, and should start up as normal (probably with a flood of new entries) after that.  I'm not sure how many times, if any, I will post before Monday, so I suppose you can consider the hiatus starting now.

For the first time in close to a year I am going home.  Its a big deal for me.  The rest of this week is going to be busy with preparing the house and animals for our going away, and of course packing.  I am so excited that I even slacked off a bit on my 52 weeks project.  I took several photos yesterday on my walk to the library and BX, but as you will probably notice, they weren't up to the previous two weeks' standards.  I'm sure the three weeks that follow (which will all be posted at once when I return) will be much more interesting and creative.

That all said, I won't dally here much longer.  I have things to clean, things to find, lists and instructions to write, excitement to stave off, and a cold to kill.  So busy.

If during the next month I have internet access I may post some photos, but don't expect much more...if anything.  That said, Happy Thanksgiving all, because I won't be writing again til after the holiday.  Take care, and always remember what you're thankful for...For me it is going home.  <3

Remember, remember...

Remember, remember the 5th of November, the gunpowder treason and plot.  I see of no reason the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot...

If you're like me you probably first learned about November 5th by watching that ever awesome movie, V for Vendetta.  If you're like my husband, you probably didn't realize at first that the gunpowder treason plot was actually real and took place on November 5th, 1605, and as you know from the movie, failed.  I'm not going to try to give a history lesson, because I would fail at that, but if you want to read more about the event, check out this article on wikipedia.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gunpowder_Plot

I found it to be very informative.  That said, Good day to you all, and I am going to watch V for Vendetta.  Have a wonderful 5th of November.

Week Two

Week two of my fifty-two week project was a success, and I had a lot of fun taking photos....  Though that's normal.
And this week's photo is?
I had a lot of favorites this time around, but I have to thank my sister for her help in getting me to decide.  SO MANY of the photos came out wonderfully!  Posting them below for your enjoyment.  <3

I Meant To...

To those of you who follow my blog, I'm so sorry.  Over the past week there were a couple entries I'd meant to make, but I never got around to it.  I got distracted by drawing, the thought of going home in two weeks, a new crocheting project, personal worries, and rearranging the living room with my husband.  It would be pointless to make some of those missed entries now, for example, I was going to type up a whole entry on Halloween...  But that's past now, and I wasn't able to celebrate anyway because I'm coming down with a cold and I couldn't afford to make costumes.  Yes, make.  I hate buying costumes because I find them to be cheap and unattractive.  Personal opinion of course... So the Halloween entry is going to wait til next year.
I was also going to write on pumpkin carving, but I never got a second pumpkin this year to carve, so that kind of went down the drain, because I was going to share it with you.
Of course I'd also thought of doing a venting entry on why cats are awesome and dogs suck.  My dog has been on my bad side consistently for over a week now, and its driving me mad.  The entry would have consisted of things like: "Cats can be trained to scratch a cat tree and nothing else with a simple spray bottle.  A dog will tear up and destroy whatever the hell she wants, no matter how many times you punish her, spray her with the spray bottle, or put her in her crate.  She will then proceed to destroy more things as soon as you forgive her and let her out again.  Like the lawn, your husband's favorite chair, and, the cats.  Poor cats."
I figured all of you dog lovers out there would hate me after that though.  I am a cat person...no doubt about it.

Those all should have been posts last week though, and I'm sorry for the lack of...anything!  So today I'm just going to rant briefly about the past week, and call it an entry.  Something thought out and sophisticated will likely follow later in the week, provided this start of what seems like a cold doesn't completely keep me bedridden.

That all said, Happy November First!
Just 15 days left til I fly home to NY for three weeks, see all of my family and friends, and have a really great time.  A mere 25 days til Thanksgiving, which I will be spending with my father's side of the family in Claryville, and just a few days after that I'll be at another gathering with Mom's family too!  I can't wait to see everyone...and for those of you who live in neither Buffalo or Sullivan County that still want to get together while I'm home...contact me so we can work something out!!!  <3

In other news I'm starting to take photos for this weeks "Photo of the week" for my 52 wks project.  I should make an entry with this week's photo in just a few days time.  Keep an eye out if that interested you at all.

I guess that's all, really.  Look for more interesting entries later this week, I hope.

And now to close, some of my Favorites on DeviantArt.  Just random photos to make this entry less boring.  Enjoy!
